Lead 'Next Contact Date'

Each lead has an optional property called 'Next Contact Date'. This is actually a specific date and time (not just a date).

You would typically use this for situations including:

  • When the client asks for a call / meeting at a specific time (EG: "call me at 5pm tomorrow")
  • As a general 'follow up' date if the client hasn't given any specific timeframe (EG: setting it to a random date 3 weeks from now if they aren't ready to purchase but you want to be reminded to follow up in future

'Next Contact Date' on Lead Sheet

The lead sheet has a date range at the top. By default this is filtering for leads Created in that period (EG: 'leads created in the last two weeks'). You can change it to filter for leads with Next Contact Date in that range instead. This can be useful for queries like:

  • Leads that are to be actioned today
  • Overdue followups (EG: set date range from 30 days ago to yesterday)

You can also stack this with other options like lead stage or assigned salesperson.

'Next Contact Date' Notifications

You can subscribe to notifications for Next Contact Date on any leads where you are assigned.

There are a range of options for time to be notified as shown below. You can choose as many as you want (EG: '5 minutes before' and 'morning of'. Please note that these notifications will be sent at exactly that time, regardless of work hours, so if you make a Next Contact Date of midnight then you will get the notification then.
