How to get a Cliniko API key

This information is based on the official instructions from Cliniko. If these instructions are out of date, please refer to the official instructions. 

API keys are very powerful, they can potentially enable full access to all of your business information. Please make sure you reviewed the API key safety tips to ensure you aren't putting your business at risk.

Cliniko-specific Notes

  1. (optional) The Cliniko API key doesn't inform us of your cliniko URL (EG: bobs-burgers.au1.cliniko.com)
    We don't require this information, but if you provide it while setting up your Cliniko connection then The BOS can provide  ‘external links’ back to cliniko when you are looking at patients, invoices etc. 

Generating a Cliniko API Key

  1. Click on My Info under your name
  2. Click API Keys -> Manage API Keys
  3. Click Add API Key
  4. Copy API Key as you won’t be able to see it again 

Removing a Cliniko API Key

  1. Click on My Info under your name
  2. Click API Keys -> Manage API Keys
  3. Click Archive! beside the appropriate key
